Todd Foster and Scott Miller have organized a canoe expedition down the Sauk River.  Below is an outline of our itinerary: ).

June 12 — Leave Lake Osakis and paddle to Todd County Road 4.


June 13 — Todd County Road 4 to Little Sauk Lake.


June 14 — Little Sauk Lake to Sauk Centre (meet-and-greet from 6-8:30 p.m. at Sinclair Lewis Park).


June 15 — Sauk Centre to Melrose (meet-and-greet from 6-8:30 p.m. City Park in Melrose).


June 16 — Melrose to Spring Hill County Park.


June 17 — Spring Hill County Park to Richmond.


June 18 — Richmond to Cold Spring (Friends of the Sauk River Canoe Library available to public from 6-8:30 p.m. at Lions Park in Cold Spring).


June 19 — Cold Spring to St. Cloud.


June 20 — Meet-and-greet from 6-8:30 p.m. at Lions Park in Cold Spring.


Note: At each meet-and-greet, the Sauk River Watershed District will have a Family Fun Night. Activities will include games, minnow races, bubbles and a Minnesota Department of Natural Resources fish tank.

How would you like to help the Friends of the Sauk River by volunteering.  We are in need of volunteers for the following dates:

June 14th - Sinclair Lewis Campground in Sauk Centre from 6:30-8:00 (We need help with the Family Fun Fest,, it's easy and anyone can help)

June 15th - Melrose City park from 6:30-8:00 (We need help with the Family Fun Fest,, it's easy and anyone can help)

June 20th Lions Park in Cold Spring from 6:30-8:00 (We need help with the Family Fun Fest,, it's easy and anyone can help)

June 25th Granite City Days Paddle 1-4:00 at Anton's in Waite Park (Need help with registering, and helping with the canoes)
